How to prepare homemade greek yogurt
Greek yogurt is simply regular yogurt that is left to "drain" for several hours, resulting in a denser product with a lower amount of liquid inside. With Ariete B-Cheese, you can now achieve creamy Greek yogurts to enjoy in your fulfilling breakfasts. Find out how easy it is to make them.
Ingredients
- 1.5L milk (all types of milk can be used: cow's, goat's, sheep's, buffalo's, whole or skimmed, fresh or UHT)
- 190g yogurt (1 and a half jars of yogurt) or dry yogurt cultures
Preparation
- Insert the included Greek yogurt basket into the cheese maker's container, then pour in the milk and yogurt, mixing well to blend the mixture.
- START PROGRAM 6 "GREEK YOGURT" and wait approximately 12 hours.
- At the beep of the "UP ARROW" indicator light, press OK and gently remove the basket. Place it on the machine to drain until the "END" light turns on (about 30 minutes), or until the desired consistency is reached.
- Remove the basket from the machine (leaving the Greek yogurt inside) and place it inside a salad bowl, ensuring there is some space beneath the basket. Place it in the fridge to drain until the desired consistency is reached.
- Use the spatula to extract the Greek yogurt from the basket and mix it well to homogenize the consistency.
- Store for a maximum of 6 days in the refrigerator.
